TTI Graduates in Kenya

In December, a large class of church planters graduated from a training course in Kenya. The Timothy Initiative's training model is based on 2 Timothy 2:2.

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”

These church planters have been through two years of discipleship and training in church planting. You can learn more about The Timothy Initiative and their training model here.

Phase 1 Begins at SouthPark

The contracts are signed, and construction is beginning at New City SouthPark! Starting this week, workers will begin the renovation of the wings of the current Worship Center building into NextGen space.

Partnering with Edify

One of our key "far" partners is Edify, an organization that comes alongside entrepreneurs who offer quality Christ-centered education to children in their underserved communities.

Moving Days

Our staff team has been moving out of SouthPark in preparation for Phase 1 and will settle at City Co-Op as soon as it's ready.

Construction Work Has Begun

Construction (and demolition!) work has begun at City Co-Operative and New City Matthews, making space for ChurchxCity Counseling, New City staff office space, and a coffee shop.

Matthews Pastor Visits TTI in Kenya

Matthews Congregation Pastor, Heath Krueger, had the opportunity recently to visit Kenya with our ministry partner, The Timothy Initiative. Through Here, Near, & Far, New City is working with TTI in East Africa to help them plant over 2,000 churches. When Heath returned, we asked him to share about his experience with New City.
