Church x City Grand Opening

On Sunday, August 24, Church x City celebrated a grand opening of their new location in our newly renovated City Cooperative building. This summer, the Church x City team has already been using their space to work with individuals facing crises or walking through seasons of growth, partnering with the local church to bring affordable, biblically based mental health counseling to Charlotte. This celebration was also the culmination of several years of partnership with New City already, in which Church x City has helped New City bring the conversation about mental health to the forefront of our mission and vision.
In our greater Charlotte community, 1 in 5 teens seriously considered suicide in a recent 12-month period, 1 in 6 adults report their mental health is "not good" for 8+ days in a month, and 1 in 5 adults report being diagnosed with depression (Source: Mecklenburg County Community Health Assessment). Those within the church are not immune to mental health struggles and Church x City is committed to uniting and serving the church through mental health counseling.
