In the past two weeks, our staff team, summer interns, and some amazing volunteer helpers have worked hard to clear out staff offices and the wings of the Worship Center at New City SouthPark in preparation for Phase 1 of construction, when these wings will be renovated into classroom space. Our NextGen groups will be adjusting their meeting spaces on Sunday mornings beginning in June, with former staff offices being used as small group breakout rooms for elementary and middle school.

Meanwhile, construction at City Co-Op continues with the final touches being put on new conference rooms, office space, and meeting rooms. Once the paint is dry and the carpet is in, furniture moved from NewCity SouthPark will be set up in new offices and workspaces where our staff team, ChurchXCity Counseling, and other local ministry partners can work and meet.

While the work is being finished, you’ll find our staff teams working wherever they can find space—often at New City Matthews where the work on the CoffeeShop renovation continues and the lobby begins to take shape.
