Lent Podcast

Lent is a season of reflection, prayer, confession, and preparation and it officially begins on AshWednesday. The six weeks following provide time and space to reflect and spiritually prepare for celebrating the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday.

We begin our Lenten journey with the words of Ecclesiastes 3:20: “All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return.”

The ashes of Ash Wednesday are a sobering reminder of our mortality and frailty. We are not indestructible, and one day we will breathe our last. We are going to spend time together each week reflecting, praying, and listening to what the Lord is saying. We will use a Psalm and another short passage of Scripture to focus our spiritual attention on what God wants to do in and through us in this powerful season. May we learn to be a repentant and prayerful people over the next six weeks.
