Life in Limbo
Join Congregations for Kids at SouthPark for an interactive experience about foster care that gives you an inside look into the child welfare system and an opportunity to walk in the shoes of a foster child, foster parent, and/or biological parent.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a foster child? Or maybe a foster parent?
Join Congregations for Kids on November 20 at SouthPark for an interactive experience about foster care. During this experience, participants step into the shoes of birth parents, foster parents, and displaced children. This is a chance to learn more without any strings attached.
- This training is interactive. You choose to become a child, parent, or foster/kinship provider and role play through a guided experience.
- This training is educational. This is a great training for those interested in learning more or thinking about engaging with the foster care system in a larger way.
- This training can be emotional. If you have experienced the foster care system or emotional trauma in any way and would like to speak to a Congregations for Kids team member about what you might experience in this event, please message the Outreach Coordinator.
Dinner is included. We hope you will join us!
Please note: You must register for the event with Congregations for Kids. If you'd like to take advantage of free childcare for kids 5th grade and younger, please fill out the New City childcare registration form, too.
