Alexander Youth Network Trunk or Treat

Alexander Youth Network (AYN) offers sophisticated, top notch mental health treatment for vulnerable kids from fragile economic and family situations, many of whom are in the foster system.  The Charlotte-area residential treatment center is where kids ages 5–14 with severe mental health needs live and go to school while getting the mental health treatment they need. Positive relationships with caring adults are a critical part of helping these kids heal, and on-campus volunteers are an instrumental part of that mission.

New City has a unique opportunity to serve at Alexander Youth Network by hosting a Trunk or Treat event Thursday, October 29th 5:15–7:15 pm. This event is specifically for the children in their PRTF (Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility) and Transition House programs to have a safe trick or treating experience on their campus. Volunteers are invited to participate by decorating the trunk of their car and hand out candy, snacks or small items.
